Past Exhibition: Love from Beijing

This exhibition featured recent works by local photographers Kristen Wright and Johanna Trainor.

Kristin created a very humorous and poignant series of photographs entitled 'Looking for Love in all the Wrong Places' .  The exhibition served as a travel journal of Cessnock and the Lower Hunter, taking in places familiar to most of us.

Johanna Trainor's Beijing series took us to the other side of Asia. Johanna recently completed an artist residency in Beijing to explore her interest in landscape. She found the language of landscape there very different to her Australian sense of Landscape as an open space. The exhibition provided a real insight into contemporary Chinese life.
